Operates a 74-bed acute care facility and provides an array of services including:

  • Provides active beds utilized for general medical and surgical patients
  • Provides acute, cardiac and palliative care
  • Offers complex, continuing care
  • Offers geriatric care
  • Provides an intensive care unit
In Patient and Out Patient Services
  • 24-hour emergency department
  • Cardiac care
  • Chemotherapy treatments
  • Diagnostic imaging
  • Dialysis unit
  • Infection control
  • Laboratory
  • Maternity and pediatrics
  • Medical and surgical care
  • Pastoral care
  • Pharmacy
  • Psychiatry (Schedule 1)

Tertiary Care Services
Arranges for transfers by land ambulance or by air with 24-hour helicopter service available within a radius of several hundred kilometers
Ontario Telemedicine Network (OTN)
  • Provides access to specialized medical care using video conferencing and other tele-diagnostic equipment
  • Allows specialists to remotely examine and prescribe treatments to patients in their home communities
  • Reduces the need to travel to receive medical care

Fees: Fees for services for uninsured Canadian and out-of-country residents; None for most services
Application: Required to present valid Ontario Health Insurance card (OHIP) or applicable medical insurance information
