Service Description:

Operates a fully-accredited 60-bed acute care facility and provides an array of services including:- Acute care services
- Ambulatory care
- Chemotherapy
- Cardio pulmonary, stress testing and pulmonary function tests
- Complex continuing care
- Day surgery
- Dialysis unit (on-site provided by Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre)
- Diagnostic imaging (x-rays, mammography, ultrasound, CT scans)
- Emergency Department
- Infection control
- Land and air ambulance services
- Nutrition services
- Obstetrics and maternity
- Operating room and surgery
- Rehabilitation
- Ultrasound unit (includes mobile services in 17 First Nation communities)

- Odotsemag (Health Choices for Healthy Babies) Program

Interpreter Services- Provides interpreter services at Meno Ya Win Health Centre and William "Bill" George Extended Care Facility in the Oji-Cree, Ojibway and Cree languages
- Offers oral interpretation and written translation services (filling out forms etc)
Ontario Telemedicine Network (OTN)- Provides access to specialized medical care using videoconferencing and other tele-diagnostic equipment
- Allows specialists to remotely examine and prescribe treatments to patients in their home communities
- Reduces the need to travel to receive care
