Service Description: Operates a self government and is responsible for the day to day operations of the Nigigoonsiminikaaning First Nation

Band Office - Community is 40 km east of Fort Frances on Hwy 11

Operates a self government and is responsible for the day to day operations of the First Nation
  • Community members conduct much of their business affairs and shopping in the nearby town of Fort Frances
  • Offers a newly-constructed Health/Business Centre, completed in July 2016
  • Provides seasonal language camps at the mouth of the Ottertail River in participation with the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis
  • Serviced by air through the Fort Frances Airport located 2 miles NW of Fort Frances
