Operates a self government and is responsible for the day to day operations of the Nigigoonsiminikaaning First Nation

Oversees the operations and maintenance of community infrastructure and related services
Performs a variety of tasks and maintenance operations including:
- Construction and maintenance of roads
- Maintenance of band-owned vehicles and community construction equipment
- Operation of water treatment plant
- Repairs and upkeep of community buildings inluding Nigigoonsiminikaaning Daycare Centre, Community Building, Water Treatment Plant, Public Works Garage, and Fire Hall
- Snow removal
