Service Description: Functions as the governing office for the community; oversees all community programs, services and facilities
Activities and services for community members also include but are not limited to the following:
  • Child and Family Services worker on-reserve provided through Weech-it-te-win Child and Family Services in Fort Frances
  • Hospital services available in nearby town of Fort Frances
  • Ontario First Nation Policing arrangements through Treaty #3 Police; call 1-888-310-1122 for police services to be dispatched to reserve
  • Community members conduct much of their business affairs and shopping in the nearby town of Fort Frances
  • Offers Windey's Food Market, a small convenience store
  • Offers a newly-constructed Health/Business Centre, completed in July 2016
  • Provides the NiGiGoonSiWiiGiWaam Child Care Centre
  • Provides seasonal language camps at the mouth of the Ottertail River in participation with the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis
  • Serviced by air through the Fort Frances Airport located 2 miles NW of Fort Frances
