Service Description:

Operates a self government and is responsible for the day to day operations of the First Nation- Tribal Council: Unaffiliated
- Political Territorial Organization: Anishinabek Nation,
Union of Ontario Indians (UOI)Robinson-Superior Treaty
Functions as the governing office for the community; oversees all community programs, services and facilities
Activities and services for community members also include but are not limited to the following:- Provides the Begetekong Community Centre for various activities and events
- Offers a Canada Post postal station
- Offers a local Internet and cable television network
- Publishes a monthly community newsletter, The Pic River Current
- Renown for developing "run of the river" hydroelectric projects in Northern Ontario; partners in 3 generating stations
- Operates a Band-owned forestry company
- Provides Biidaaban Healing Lodge for addictions treatment
- Administers a Children and Family Learning Centre
- Offers a Community Hall for various community events
- Offers an Education Department which administers Pic River Elementary School and Pic River High School
- Operates a Volunteer Fire Department
- Offers health care and health programs through Pic River Health Centre
- Provides a Public Library
