Service Description: Functions as the governing office for the community; oversees all community programs, services and facilities

Activities and services for community members also include but are not limited to the following:
  • Provides the Begetekong Community Centre for various activities and events
  • Offers a Canada Post postal station
  • Offers a local Internet and cable television network
  • Publishes a monthly community newsletter, The Pic River Current
  • Renown for developing "run of the river" hydroelectric projects in Northern Ontario; partners in 3 generating stations
  • Operates a Band-owned forestry company
  • Provides Biidaaban Healing Lodge for addictions treatment
  • Administers a Children and Family Learning Centre
  • Offers a Community Hall for various community events
  • Offers an Education Department which administers Pic River Elementary School and Pic River High School
  • Operates a Volunteer Fire Department
  • Offers health care and health programs through Pic River Health Centre
  • Provides a Public Library
