Service Description:

Operates an 18-bed acute care facility and provides an array of services including:- Acute care
- Complex continuing care
- Diagnostic imaging (including ultrasounds)
- Emergency Department
- Laboratory
- Nutritional services
- Obstetrics (low risk)
- Pastoral care
- Pediatrics
- Physiotherapy services
- Surgical services
Inpatient and Outpatient Services- Community Counselling and Addiction Services
- Red Lake District Diabetes Program
Outpatient Clinics include the following:
Chemotherapy- Operates as a satellite clinic to Northwestern Ontario Regional Cancer Centre
- Provides chemotherapy treatments locally with continued guidance from the Cancer Centre
Endoscopy- Provides gastroscopies and colonoscopies through visiting surgeon two days per month
- Offers a pre-scope clinic to patient through telemedicine
Ontario Telemedicine Network (OTN)- Provides access to specialized medical care using video conferencing and other tele-diagnostic equipment
- Allows specialists to remotely examine and prescribe treatments to patients in their home communities
- Reduces the need to travel to receive medical care
