Service Description:
|
Operates a self government and is responsible for the day to day operations of the Red Rock Indian Band- Tribal Council: Independent (does not belong to Tribal Council)

Territorial Organization: Union of Ontario Indians (UOI)Robinson-Superior Treaty
Responsible for fire protection and prevention, and administration of the Ontario Fire Code- Fire protection provided by Lake Helen Volunteer Fire Department with assistance from Nipigon Fire Department
- Issues applicable burn permits required for brush piles, incinerators and open fires, excluding campfires
- Practises regular standardized training modules and members also attend external training opportunities
- Maintains a fire hall, equipment, one pumper truck and a rapid attack vehicle
Provides the following services:- Education programs including smoke alarms, fire extinguishers and fire/fall protection for Elders
- Emergency planning
- Fire investigation
- Fire suppression
- Hazardous materials information
- Home safety which includes ensuring all homes are equipped with smoke alarms and charged fire extinguishers
