Service Description:

Operates a 75-bed acute care facility and provides an array of services
Provides methadone treatment for opiate addiction withdrawalOffers residential stabilization up to 7 days for initial treatment if required; coordinated with Morningstar Centre Withdrawal Management detoxification facilityOffers opiate withdrawal supportProvides comprehensive medical assessmentProvides psychosocial assessmentOffers multidisciplinary treatment planningProvides counselling, support and case managementProvides referral servicesProvides on-going treatment

Application:

- Intake assessment required
- Complete physical examination and full complement of bloodwork required
- Must be in good physical health
- Clearance into program may take up to 2 months
|

Eligibility / Target Population:
|
- Individuals 20 years of age and older
- Must be physically dependent on at least one form of opiate (such as heroin, codeine, morphine, oxycontin)
- Must have tried other possible treatments and have been unsuccessful
