Service Description:

Provides methadone treatment for opiate addiction withdrawal

Offers residential stabilization up to 7 days for initial treatment if required; coordinated with Morningstar Centre Withdrawal Management detoxification facility

Offers opiate withdrawal support

Provides comprehensive medical assessment

Provides psychosocial assessment

Offers multidisciplinary treatment planning

Provides counselling, support and case management

Provides referral services

Provides on-going treatment

Application:

Intake assessment required
Complete physical examination and full complement of bloodwork required
Must be in good physical health
Clearance into program may take up to 2 months

Eligibility / Target Population:

Individuals 20 years of age and older
Must be physically dependent on at least one form of opiate (such as heroin, codeine, morphine, oxycontin)
Must have tried other possible treatments and have been unsuccessful
