Service Description: Governed by an elected council of 13 members: the Mayor, 5 Councillors-at-Large and 7 Ward Councillors, municipal elections are held every 4 years

Operates a community centre for older adults that offers various recreational and educational programs and services
Activities and services include the following:
  • River Street Cafe
  • Registered programs such as fitness, visual arts, computer lessons, and guitar lessons
  • Drop-in activities such as card games, line dancing, and recreational sports such as badminton and pickleball
  • Income Tax Clinic (Apr and May)
  • Health and Wellness programs such as blood pressure clinic (once a month), and Hearing Screening
  • Provides space rental
