Service Description: Functions as the governing office for the community; oversees all community programs, services and facilities
Activities and services for community members also include but are not limited to the following:
  • Child and Family Services worker on-reserve provided through Weech-it-te-win Child and Family Services in Fort Frances
  • Hospital services available at La Verendrye Hospital in Fort Frances
  • Ontario First Nation Policing arrangements through Treaty #3 Police; call 1-888-310-1122 for police services to be dispatched to reserve
  • Provides community facilities including a fire hall, water treatment building, community hall and gymnasium
  • Provides the Naicatchewenin Community Store
  • Community businesses include the Quonset Hut & Bus Storage and the Kish-Gon-Dug Cedar Factory which exports products to Europe as well as locally
  • Owns and operates C & O Logging
  • Serviced by air through the Fort Frances airport located 60 km SE of community
