Service Description: Health agency that addresses public health issues and promotes healthy living
  • Administers health promotion and disease prevention programs
  • Promotes the health of the communities served by enabling people to increase control over the determinants of health
  • Prevents the occurrence and spread of disease and reduces resulting disability
  • Protects the health of the community by eliminating or reducing health hazards
  • Collaborates with individuals, service providers, organizations, agencies and other health units
