Deafness and Hearing Loss - District of Thunder Bay

Programs and services for people who are deaf or hard of hearing, which may include diagnostic hearing tests, counselling, education, and the provision of hearing and communication assistance devices. Professionally trained sign language interpreters are available to those wishing to access services through the Ontario Interpreting Service of the Canadian Hearing Society. The cost is covered by the organization or business regardless of the request.

COVID-19 Testing Locations

Anyone who needs a test can get one and does not need an OHIP card. Tests are available by appointment only at assessment centres and at pharmacies.

You will continue to have access to the care you need and the health care providers you have built relationships with. Home care continues as before and there are no changes to long-term care home placement.
