Mandated to provide safe and affordable, culturally appropriate housing to urban and rural First Nation, Inuit and Métis people living off-Reserve in OntarioConsists of new, affordable rental units, home ownership loans and repair fundingAlso serves as the location for the Northeastern Ontario Property Management Office which was formerly located in Sudbury
Assists low to moderate income off-reserve Indigenous renter households to purchase affordable homes by providing down payment and closing cost assistance in the form of a forgivable loanProvides the funding as a down payment and closing cost assistance loan for eligible purchasers

Eligibility / Target Population:
|
Low to moderate-income Indigenous people who are looking to purchase their sole and primary residence off-reserve, outside of the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) in Ontario and:
- hold Canadian citizenship and are 18 years of age or older
- Individuals who do not qualify for a mortgage, cannot apply for homeownership assistance
