Service Description:
|
Operates a self government and is responsible for the day to day operations of the Gull Bay First Nation- Tribal Council: Nokiiwin Tribal Council (NTC)
- Political Territorial
Organization: Union of Ontario Indians (UOI)Robinson-Superior Treaty
Responsible for fire protection and prevention, and administration of the Ontario Fire Code- Issues applicable burn permits required for brush piles, incinerators and open fires, excluding campfires
- Serves a population of approximately 100 residents
- Maintains a fire hall, fire fighting equipment and 1 pump fire truck
Provides the following services:- Education
- Emergency planning
- Fire investigation
- Fire suppression
- Hazardous materials information
- Home safety which includes ensuring all homes are equipped with smoke alarms and charged fire extinguishers
