Service Description: Operates a self government and is responsible for the day to day operations of the Whitesand First Nation
  • Tribal Council: Independent First Nations Alliance (IFNA)
  • Robinson-Superior Treaty


  • Assists members with Native membership and registration forms and processes
  • Maintains membership records for Whitesand First Nation
  • Responsible for writing blood quantum letters and BCR's for band transfers
  • Reviews all applications and documents related to membership and confirms residency letters for band members
  • Provides information about current and evolving Indian status changes and issues
  • Acts as a liaison to the Indian Registrar of Indigenous Services Canada (ISC)
  • May provide assistance in the following matters:
    • Birth certificates and related documents
    • Death certificates
    • Indian registration
    • Marriage licenses and certificates
    • Status card renewals
