Service Description: Operates a self government and is responsible for the day to day operations of the Neskantaga First Nation

Provides support services to women in the community affected by physical, sexual or emotional abuse by their partner and/or significant other
  • Assists with connecting to community supports
  • Provides referrals to women's crisis shelters
  • Assists with finding or maintaining housing
  • Offers options for ongoing healing, treatment and counselling
  • Provides education awareness on family violence prevention and assists with community-based support healing programs

Eligibility / Target Population: Female members of Neskantaga First Nation 16 years of age and older who reside in the community and are/have been physically, sexually, or emotionally abused by their partner and/or significant other
