Service Description:
|
Operates a self government and is responsible for the day to day operations of the Obashkaandagaang First Nation also known as Washagamis Bay- Tribal Council: Bimose Tribal Council

Oversees the operations and maintenance of community infrastructure and related services
Performs a variety of tasks and maintenance operations including:- Construction and maintenance of roads
- Maintenance of band-owned vehicles and community construction equipment
- Operation of water treatment plant and maintenance of related equipment
- Repairs and upkeep of community buildings
- Snow removal
- Street lighting
- Upkeep of public spaces and grounds
- Provides assistance in project management services and community development and planning
Announcement Feb 2020: Indigenous Services Canada (ISC) is providing over $8 million for the design and construction of a new water treatment plant which will eliminate two long-term drinking water advisories and restore clean and safe drinking water to community members; new state-of-the-art water treatment plant and water distribution system completed in summer 2021
