Service Description: Operates a volunteer search and rescue program

  • Operates a search and rescue program for individuals who are prone to wandering, including those with Alzheimer's or other dementia and children with autism
  • Utilizes a wrist or ankle transmitter that is worn by individuals who may be prone to wandering to be located quickly
  • Works with local police to share vital information in the event that an individual wanders off and searching can begin quickly

  • Fees: Transmitter device; registration fee; monthly fee

    Eligibility / Target Population:
    • Must be diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, dementia or a related neurocognitive disorder


    • Must live in a private residence with a 24-hour caregiver
