Service Description: Operates a self government and is responsible for the day to day operations of the Lac Des Mille Lacs First Nation

  • Addresses and acts upon all housing issues and related requests through a Housing Committee
  • Ensures that housing issues are effectively managed
  • Offers the following services:
    • Development of policies and procedures that make up the Lac Des Mille Lacs First Nation Housing Policy
    • Ensures community members are updated with current housing progress by means of community website posts and letters
    • Assistance with coordination of lot allocation which includes mailing application packages to all members expressing an interest in obtaining a lot
    • Collaboration on lottery process for lot allocation
    • Provides recommendations and changes to the housing policy
