Service Description:

Operates a self government and is responsible for the day to day operations of the Biinjitiwaabik Zaaging Anishinaabek (Rocky Bay First Nation) members- Tribal Council: Nokiiwin Tribal Council
(NTC)Political Territorial Organization: Union of Ontario Indians (UOI)Robinson-Superior Treaty
Provides education and services for the prevention, management and treatment of diabetes- Provides case management and screening services
- Works to increase early detection and to reduce the number of avoidable complications that can arise from uncontrolled diabetes
- Advises on developing and implementing an approach to care and management of diabetes
- Promotes increased physical activity and knowledge of healthy eating
- Provides workshops, presentations and hands-on training for cultural activities and traditions
- Assists individuals in finding appropriate services
- Provides referrals to other health care professionals
