Service Description: Operates a self government and is responsible for the day to day operations of the Bingwi Neyaashi Anishinaabek First Nation

Functions as the governing centre for the community; oversees all community programs, services and facilities
Activities and services for community members also include but are not limited to the following:
  • Hospital and policing services through the city of Thunder Bay
  • Child and Family Services worker provided through Dilico Anishinabek Family Care, Thunder Bay office, ph: 807-623-8511, fax: 807-626-7999, toll-free: 1-800-475-3985
  • Publishes a community newsletter available on website
  • Hosts an Annual Pow Wow, currently at Victoria Inn in Thunder Bay
  • Participates as a member of Waaskiinaysay Ziibi Inc, an economic development corporation made up of five Lake Nipigon First Nations
  • Owns and operates Papasay Sawmill located at Sand Point
