Service Description: Operates a self government and is responsible for the day to day operations of the Bingwi Neyaashi Anishinaabek First Nation
  • Nokiiwin Tribal Council (NTC)

Provides services that promote physical and mental health for community members
  • Collaborates with community partners to provide access to health care services and support
  • Provides health awareness and counselling, education and prevention workshops
  • Coordinates clinics/workshops in areas that may include Immunization, Sexual Health, Smoking Cessation and Communicable Diseases
Addresses individual health care needs by providing:
  • Intake services to determine health care needs of individual
  • Referrals to appropriate health care providers based on information in the intake assessment
  • Advocacy and support on behalf of individual with other health professionals
  • Coordination of one-on-one pre-natal care
  • Home visits to the sick, elderly, new mothers and persons with health care needs
  • Assistance with coordinating local and long distance travel arrangements for medical appointments
Coordinates events for members including:
  • Adult and Children's Christmas parties
  • Father's Day dinners
  • Mother's Day luncheons
  • Summer Picnics
