Service Description: Operates a self government and is responsible for the day to day operations of the Animbiigoo Zaagi'igan Anishinaabek First Nation
  • Nokiiwin Tribal Council (NTC)

Provides services that promote physical and mental health for community members
  • Provides health awareness, education and prevention workshops and seminars for all ages
  • Hosts an annual community Health Fair at the Valhalla in Thunder Bay
  • Coordinates the Good Food Box program
  • Conducts home visits and offers support for children aged 0-6 years of age
  • Offers body composition analyses
  • Provides a health video library available to community residents
  • Publishes a bi-monthly health newsletter "Biiboon" available on website or at Health Office
  • Operates a toy lending library
  • Provides referrals to additional services
