Service Description: Operates a self government and is responsible for the day to day operations of the Obashkaandagaang First Nation also known as Washagamis Bay

Provides education and services for the prevention, management and treatment of diabetes
  • Provides case management and screening services
  • Works to increase early detection and to reduce the number of avoidable complications that can arise from uncontrolled diabetes
  • Advises on developing and implementing an approach to care and management of diabetes
  • Promotes increased physical activity and knowledge of healthy eating
  • Provides workshops, presentations and hands-on training for cultural activities and traditions
  • Assists individuals in finding appropriate services
  • Provides referrals to other health care professionals

Eligibility / Target Population: Members of Obashkaandagaang First Nation living with diabetes or at-risk
