Service Description: Responsible for the daily operations and management of the municipality of Chapple through the following departments:
  • Administration
  • Building and Planning
  • By-Law Enforcement
  • Finance Department
  • Landfill Sites
  • Public Works
  • Town Council
  • Volunteer Fire Department


  • Operates a volunteer fire department
  • Responsible for fire prevention and administration of the Ontario Fire Code
  • Issues applicable burn permits required for brush piles, incinerators and open fires, including fire pits and chimneys
  • Provides fire safety and prevention education
  • Maintains 2 fire halls, 4 fire trucks, fire equipment and 1 extrication kit
  • Works in cooperation with the Rainy River District Mutual Aid Fire system
