Service Description: Responsible for the daily operations and management of all departments and services for the township of La Vallee

  • Operates a volunteer fire department
  • Responsible for fire prevention and administration of the Ontario Fire Code
  • Issues applicable burn permits required for brush piles, incinerators and open fires, excluding campfires
  • Provides fire safety and prevention education
  • Conducts annual smoke detector tests
  • Maintains equipment consisting of tanker truck, pumper truck, rescue van and auto extrication equipment
