Service Description:
|
Operates a self government and is responsible for the day to day operations of the First Nation- Tribal Council: Unaffiliated
- Political Territorial Organization: Anishinabek Nation,
Union of Ontario Indians (UOI)Robinson-Superior Treaty
Provides a wide range of prevention services and programs that address addictions, family violence and mental health
Services offered include but are not limited to:- Intervention in individual and family crisis to resolve issue; working with other service providers to identify care plans
- Provides assistance in child protection matters when required
- Offers individual counselling for mental health issues, family matters, parenting and other areas of struggle
- Provides educational programs at community schools on topics such as bullying, peer pressure, conflict resolution and self-esteem
- Conducts home visits to elders, shut-ins and as client follow-up
- Facilitates a group for seniors (50+ Group) to interact, work on crafts, participate in an exercise and socialize
