Service Description: Operates a self government and is responsible for the day to day operations of the Lac La Croix First Nation

Nursing station providing basic medical and health care services that promote physical and mental health for community members
  • Coordinates health care services through the Health Centre; health team consists of Community Health Nurses and Representatives, a visiting Physician and Crisis Team workers
  • Provides health awareness and counselling, education and prevention workshops/clinics in areas that may include Child Care, Diabetes, Elderly & Chronic Disease, Immunization, Sexual Health and Communicable Diseases
Addresses individual health care needs by providing:
  • Access to primary nursing health care
  • Home visits and referrals
  • Postnatal care
  • Dietitian counselling on healthy eating habits and lifestyles
  • Regular visits from professionals such as doctors and nurse practitioners
  • Walk-In clinic

Application: Booked appointments recommended for visiting Nurse Practitioner and other Professionals
