Service Description:
|
Operates a self government and is responsible for the day to day operations of the Mishkeegogamang First Nation- Independent First Nation (not part of a Tribal Council)

Provides education and services for the prevention, management and treatment of diabetes - Provides case management and screening services
- Offers basic foot care services
- Works to reduce the number of avoidable complications that can arise from uncontrolled diabetes
- Advises on developing and implementing an approach to care and management of diabetes
- Assists individuals in finding appropriate services
- Provides referrals to other health care professionals and the Northern Diabetes Health Network
- Coordinates education and awareness activities for Health Centre staff such as healthy breakfasts, group walking events and health-related videos
