Service Description: Serves as a non-political Chiefs Council which provides support and advisory services to nine member First Nation communities

  • Assists in the development and maintenance of community infrastructure
  • Provides support with operations and maintenance related record keeping and evaluation of capital assets
  • Assists in applications for sources for funding of community assets
  • Provides advisory assistance with operation and maintenance of water and wastewater systems in member communities
  • Coordinates required training of water and wastewater operators
  • Additional services can include advisory support on the following systems:
    • Integrated Capital Asset Management System (CAMS)
    • Capital Asset Inventory System (CAIS)
    • Capital Management Database (CMDB)
    • Asset Management Systems (AMS)
    • Asset Condition Reporting System (ACRS)
    • Reporting on the status of asset maintenance

    Application: Services are accessed at a local level (Band Office) and accessed through direct communication with Matawa First Nations Management
    Eligibility / Target Population: Must belong to one of the member First Nations within Matawa Territory

    Language Notes: Oji-Cree, Ojibway; available upon request
