Service Description:
  • Addresses public health issues and promotes healthy living
  • Administers health promotion and disease prevention programs within the Kenora and Rainy River Districts


  • Promotes reduction of harm for drug users
    • Provides sterile needles and clean drug preparation equipment
    • Provides safe disposal of used needles and equipment
    • Supplies free condoms
    • Provides Hepatitis A and B vaccinations
    • Provides safe inhalation kits
    • Gives referrals to counselling, methadone and rehabilitation services
    • Provides education on safer injecting practices and overdose prevention
    • Raises public awareness of health options for drug users

    Fees: Service - Hepatitis A & B vaccinations; None; High-risk individuals may be available to receive vaccination free
