Service Description: Provides direct services for new and established permanent residents and convention refugees, and for refugee claimants

Assists newcomer youth to successfully transition to life in Canada by providing a variety of supports to meet their needs

The program can assist with:
  • Developing strategies to transition to life in a new country
  • Referrals to appropriate outside agencies for services
  • Homework and school assignment help
  • English conversation and pronunciation
  • Employment programs and opportunities
Youth Mentorship Program
  • Supports youth in achieving their full potential in education, employment, community engagement and leadership through volunteer mentors and group activities

Eligibility / Target Population:
  • Newcomers to Canada

  • Youth Mentorship is offered to Aboriginal and Newcomer Immigrant/Refugee youth between 12 and 25 years of age
