Service Description: Provides services to reduce, control and manage the incidence of tuberculosis (TB) in First Nations communities
Services offered and delivered are:
  • Case finding and management
  • Provide anti-tuberculosis drugs for treatment and prevention
  • Educate and support patients hospitalized with TB
  • Provide disease case therapy and follow-up
  • Support and facilitate Directly Observed Therapy (DOT)
  • Maintain and update the TB database
  • Provide support and education to health care providers and community members
  • Assist in maintaining and updating the First Nations and Inuit Health Information System (FNIHIS)
