Service Description:

Provides non perishable food items (enough for 3 days) to individuals/families in an emergency situation

Provides a grocery store voucher for perishable items such as milk and eggs

Coordinates food bank with volunteer efforts from community members (operation of food bank, stocking shelves, garbage runs, setting up etc)

Donations of non perishable food items accepted in bin at Atikokan Foodland

Cash donations accepted at RBC Bank and Atikokan Foodland

Receipts issued for cash donations

Application:

Access is permitted once per month per household
Name, address and access date will be recorded with each visit
Foodland voucher varies with funds available that month; cannot be used for tobacco, pop, chips or candy

Must be a resident of Atikokan in an emergency need situation
