Service Description:
  • Offers wholistic supports and services for families who have been affected by issues related to unresolved trauma
  • Provides healthy coping and stabilization techniques, psycho-education and a therapeutic environment to assist families in the healing process
  • Promotes Anishinaabe culture, ceremony and land-based teachings
  • Collaborates with other First Nation service providers for program delivery
  • Program is offered in three phases:
    • Pre-treatment/orientation including intake
    • Treatment, provided through a 15-day outpatient program
    • Post-discharge/aftercare services up to six months

    • Open to referrals from any source; referral form available on website

    • Requires submission of completed information package, available on website
    Eligibility / Target Population:
    • Families of any of the 9 First Nations communities in the Rainy Lake Tribal Region living either on/off-reserve

    • Family members must make a commitment to their own healing process and

    • Must actively participate in all components of the program

    • Individuals on a methadone/suboxone program are accepted


    NOTE: NOT accepted are individuals actively using/misusing/abusing alcohol/drugs or deemed high-risk for violence
