Service Description: Provides a year-round land-based program available to the 10 Tribal Area First Nation communities
Coordinates and administers healing/wellness programs/services which can include but are not limited to:
  • Aftercare land-based seasonal programming, requested and driven by the community and no longer than 3-5 days
  • Traditional ceremonies and teachings such as sharing circles, full moon ceremony, men's and women's teachings, and Water walks
  • Cultural activities such as moccasin making, quill box making, medicine harvesting, hand drum and rattle making, tobacco making and snaring
  • Native language workshops to learn Anishinaabemowin
  • Counselling services

  • Referrals are not required to participate
Eligibility / Target Population: All individuals from any of the 10 First Nation communities in the Fort Frances Tribal Area
