Service Description:
  • Promotes health and optimal diabetes management
  • Addresses the prevalence and high incidence of diabetes in the Aboriginal population
  • Provides education and practical skills through the following initiatives
    • Community workshops
    • Cooking classes
    • Presentations in schools
    • Public health fairs
    • Resource development

    Application: Services provided locally in individual communities
    Eligibility / Target Population: First Nation individuals and families from member communities
