Service Description: Strives to reduce the number of Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) births and to improve the quality of life for children living with FASD and their families
  • Provides education and information on the consequences of alcohol consumption during pregnancy
  • Works to detect early identification, assessment and diagnosis for children
  • Offers individual and group counselling sessions
  • Offers parenting classes
  • Provides information sessions for teens
  • Provides professional training for frontline workers
Advises on the following:
  • Alcohol Related Birth Defects (ARBD)
  • Alcohol Related Neurodevelopmental Disorder (ARND)
  • Fetal Alcohol Effects (FAE)
  • Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (FAS)
  • Partial Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (PFAS)

  • Members of Niisaachewan Anishinaabe Nation

  • Children who have been diagnosed with or are suspected of having Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) or Fetal Alcohol Effects (FAE) and their families
