Education and services for the prevention, management and treatment of diabetes provided by Waasegiizhig Nanaandawe'iyewigamig (WYNHAC) - Diabetes Education Services (807)467-8770, Confidential fax line (807)467-2666 Services:
- Provides case management and screening services
- Works to increase early detection and to reduce the number of avoidable complications that can arise from uncontrolled diabetes
- Advises on developing and implementing an approach to care and management of diabetes
- Promotes increased physical activity and knowledge of healthy eating
- Provides workshops, presentations and hands-on training for cultural activities and traditions
- Assists individuals in finding appropriate services
- Provides referrals to other health care professionals
