Service Description:
Functions as the governing office for the community; oversees all community programs, services and facilities

Activities and services for community members also include but are not limited to the following:
  • Provides most programs and services for all members through Northwest Angle 33B (Angle Inlet) office
  • Hospital services available at Lake of the Woods District Hospital, Kenora
  • Ontario First Nation Policing arrangements through Treaty #3 Police Services, Kenora Central/West Detachment
  • Child & Family services provided by Anishinaabe Abinoojii Family Services, Head Office in Kenora
  • Fire Prevention Services offered by Anishinaabeg of Kabapikotawangag Resource Council; ph 807-226-4445 Ext 224, fireprevention@akrc.on.ca
  • Community is not road accessible and does not have stores, post office, air service or other customer services; residents must travel by water (ice in winter) to Angle Inlet, USA for all shopping needs (approx 10 min by boat), or to Kenora by water/land (approx 2.5 hours in summer and 1 hour in winter by ice road)
  • Receives air ambulance services for emergencies
  • Administers education services under the Education Department, Seven Generations Education Institute
  • Coordinates health care and health programs at the Medical Centre
