Service Description:

Operates a volunteer fire department
- Responsible for fire prevention and administration of the Ontario Fire Code
- Issues applicable burn permits required for brush piles, incinerators and open fires, excluding campfires
- Provides fire safety and prevention education
- Vehicle extrication on a 100 kilometer stretch of the TransCanada Highway
- Provides a variety of rescue, including ground-based, snowmobile-based and water and ice Rescue
- Provides free home fire safety inspections for residents, and will install smoke detectors if requested
