Provides financial support for snack and meal programs in schools, including First Nations schoolsFunding amount is limited to a maximum of 15% of total estimated costProvides information on applying for fundingProcesses grant requests from local communities and schoolsCoordinates distribution of funds from the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services to local snack and meal programsParticipates in regional partnerships and fund-raising effortsSupplies local programs with resources including nutritional information, meal and snack menus and managing volunteers

Eligibility / Target Population:

Does not provide funding to individuals
- Program is made available to all children and youth
- Parents and/or caregivers contribute financially or by volunteering in program
- Organizers provide activity and financial reports on regular basis
- Program must show that parents and local community have provided funding
- Indicates separate line in bank account under its own name
