Service Description: Provides a child care centre and offers early prevention and intervention programs and services for off-reserve preschool children
  • Strives to meet the emotional, social, health and nutritional needs of children
  • Coordinates activities such as family gym time, arts and crafts, breakfast and circle time
  • Provides transportation when required
  • Participates in community events and special celebrations
Offers daily programs focused on:
  • Aboriginal culture and language
  • Education and school readiness
  • Health and nutrition
  • Parental and family involvement
  • Social support



Fees: Program - Fees for childcare; Subsidized spaces are limited - Fee assistance available for Childcare; assistance is provided by Kenora District Services Board (KDSB)

  • Requires completed registration application and

  • Child's birth certificate and copy of updated immunization record
Eligibility / Target Population: Off-reserve Indigenous (status, non-status, Metis or Inuit) children from birth to 5 years of age (school-aged)

  • Infants: Birth-18 months

  • Toddlers: 18 month-2.5 years

  • Preschool: 2.5 years-5 years


Priority given to Indigenous children at-risk
