Service Description:
|
Provides a child care centre and offers early prevention and intervention programs and services for off-reserve preschool children- Strives to meet the emotional, social, health and nutritional needs of children
- Coordinates activities such as family gym time, arts and crafts, breakfast and circle time
- Provides transportation when required
- Participates in community events and special celebrations
Offers daily programs focused on:- Aboriginal culture and language
- Education and school readiness
- Health and nutrition
- Parental and family involvement
- Social support

Program - Fees for childcare; Subsidized spaces are limited - Fee assistance available for Childcare; assistance is provided by Kenora District Services Board (KDSB)

- Child's birth certificate and copy of updated immunization record

Eligibility / Target Population:
|
Off-reserve Indigenous (status, non-status, Metis or Inuit) children from birth to 5 years of age (school-aged)
- Infants: Birth-18 months
- Toddlers: 18 month-2.5 years
- Preschool: 2.5 years-5 years
Priority given to Indigenous children at-risk
