Service Description:
  • Provides education, programs and workshops to promote healthy lifestyles and prevent illness
  • Endeavors to improve working relationships between health care systems and Aboriginal communities
  • Provides education to raise awareness of health issues affecting Aboriginal people
  • Ensures that Aboriginal individuals understand the present health care system
  • Provides education in an effort to reduce violence within Aboriginal communities
  • Health and Social Circle
    • Offers presentations on health related topics
    • Teaches various Native craft-making workshops
    Healthy Lifestyles
    • Holds group meetings once a week to discuss health issues with a focus on diet and exercise
    • Provides information sessions on disease prevention

    Eligibility / Target Population: Open to all with a focus on off-reserve Aboriginal individuals and their families
