Service Description: Offers culturally relevant supports and programs focused on improving the health of mothers and their infants
  • Provides individual and group counselling
  • Offers pre/post natal classes
  • Provides baby food and prenatal vitamins
  • Provides education and information sessions about good parenting skills and lifestyle issues affecting the health of an infant such as smoking, alcohol and family violence
  • Offers referrals to other services and counselling
Breastfeeding Support
  • Offers one on one support
  • Provides education on healthy living including effects of substances
  • Loans out breast pump
  • Offers smoking cessation support for moms and dads

Eligibility / Target Population: Urban Indigenous women who are pregnant or who have infants up to six months of age
