Service Description: Functions as an alternative to the Court process regarding Child Welfare matters
  • Provides family mediation services (dispute resolution) through traditional Circles
  • Aims to restore harmony between family members through an agreed-upon family care plan

Application:
  • Referrals can be made by anyone, however all individuals and agencies involved must agree to participate

  • Referral form is on the website
Eligibility / Target Population: NAN First Nation families who are involved with a child protection agency
Languages: English ; Ojibwe
Area Served: Algoma, Cochrane, District of Kenora, District of Rainy River, James and Hudson Bay Coast, Nipissing–Temiskaming, Northern, Sudbury–Manitoulin–Parry Sound
