Service Description:
|
Provides Administrative Support Services to the Program Manager and staff in the District of Thunder BayConstruction Health and Safety- Conducts inspections and monitors the Occupational Health and Safety Act for construction projects (buildings, bridges, etc)
Industrial Health and Safety- Conducts inspections and monitors the Occupational Health and Safety Act for industrial establishments (factories, shops, offices and logging operations)
Thunder Bay Mining Health and Safety Program- Conducts inspections and monitors the Occupational Health and Safety Act for mining properties (gravel pits, quarries, etc.)
Employment Standards Program- Enforces the Employment Standards Act and its regulations
- Provides information and education to employers and employees, making it easier for people to understand and comply voluntarily
- Investigates possible violations
- Resolves complaints
